Wet Cement
Today I found this old letter which I wrote to one of my closest friend. So thought to share it with you all, since nothing much has changed.
Dear Srivatsa, It’s been a long time since we spoke.A lot has been going on at this end so didn’t have the peace to strike a conversation with you.I believe I always need a clear mind to keep certain things unharmed. But here is something I wrote which will unload the burden. Caution : The cement floor is still wet ,don’t walk on it.(It will carve the permanent footprints)Well that’s what the sign beside the road meant to me.When the road is full of potholes. After many months of ignorance, government finally decides to take some actions about it and starts the process of filling them and fix it.The procedure takes a certain amount of time.If they fill it just with soil it’ll probably get damaged in the upcoming rains. If they fill it with just rocks. The rocks are likely to damage the tires of the vehicles and will cause accidents. So when they create a perfect mixture. The last but not the least is to give it sometime to dry.Try not to call me theatrical but I believe it’s the same with ‘human heart healing’.Once we are damaged it would be wise enough to give ourselves the time we need to create a concrete road.If we let people walk on the wet cement floor it’s likely to leave a permanent footprints on an unfinished road.
