How far would you go for love?

Back in bachelor's we had a visiting faculty run a workshop that lasted for 2 days. Besides her creative challenges she had give us a small task in which we were asked to draw 'Happiness' in 5 minutes on the terrace of our old college building where the workshop was held. Nobody was expected to bring out their inner M.F.Hussain and surprising everyone drew like a 5 year old. Obvious, Raw and minimal. Like we used to draw on the walls. (Two mountains, sun rising in between, One house, one tree, and road starting from the door of the house) To get back to the point, that's how we drew, I remember scribbling a girl with a dog implying that Happiness for me is being with Haruki. After that the session continued with another retrospective group discussion. The theme of that workshop was 'How far would you go for love?' It revolved around the our passion (art) and how much are we willing to get consumed by it.

Today while surfing through Youtube, I came across one story which spoke about a man who lived with a corpse for 7 years. As the trending, instagram reel says,'I was too stunned to speak' My first reaction was to Google and check if it's true. (It is! Google it) Apparently this man was cherished by the society for his love. He wasn't ready to let go of his bride so he kept replacing the parts of her, and using chemicals to keep her away from decaying.

So where do we draw the line between passion and insanity? Does the intention of doing something sets standards for the virtue of one's love.
