Exit Points
As a novice in the ux design industry everyday is challenging for me. By uninstalling all the social media accounts I successfully came out of the vicious trap of virtual identity but as a designer I am working on a social media platform. As important as it is to monetize the platform to increase user engagement we have been working on point. But there is a point when you have to choose whether to go with your company's decision or to oppose them and stick to your point. I feel there should be an exit point in every application where user will get a chance to escape instead of getting sucked in this trap. But when I discussed this with my senior executives it turns out to be exactly opposite of what they want. How to I draw the line between ethical design and company's profit? -_-
Note- I do realise that this write up is scattered and incomplete but so is my mind right now :-P
