Ebooks, Postcards, Sarees

Today while cleaning the home I came across a bunch of vintage postcards. Aai baba has one of those time worn storage-cum-bed kinda beds.My aaji got them from our family carpenter back when my parents got married. It has a lot of stuff that we don't need anymore (according to aai) but Baba refuses to let go of it. Today after aai 20 minutes rant on 'how we just keep buying stuff even though we don't have much place left to keep it'. I and Baba decided to free some space and that's how I ended up coming across a bunch of postcards tied with a rubber band which left sticky marks on the first and the last postcard. I always knew he was a bookworm but never had an idea about this. Since baba had a pretty rough childhood they could barely fulfill their need after Ajoba passed away. But baba somehow managed to continue with some lavish habits of his. As usual we ended up having a long chat about how went to different states just to collect some customized postcards and how happy he would be after he got them. He said he got this habit from Ajji. She was way to fascinated about her sarees, she even had a little book in which she would note down all the unique styles and places for sarees. I am happy to know that three of us have this thing in common. To put an effort, to walk an extra mile for something we really want. And which will not only embrace our collection but will also make us young at heart. Today I came across an ebook. I have been looking for it since so many years. Murakami's second novel. And I can't tell you how happy I am. I have this same thing with movies too. There are movies I have been looking for since ages and my quest is continued... I once read this in Sophie's world that no matter how things changes their structure remains the same. Like cupcakes of different flavors with same shapes and same major ingredients. (I forgot the name of the philosopher :-p It's a good book by the way)
