Cool kids
Being a part of the generation who is using Snapchat & Facebook since 10th standard makes me stops scrolling and stare at the screen for 6 secs when I read posts about younger generation being socially detached. Is gadgets giving us adrenaline rush a good thing or a bad one? Is Netflix & prime playing the role of batteries fitted in out GMOS a bad thing or a good one? Uploading constant live updates on social media a good thing?
But tell me, Isn’t ‘I don’t look good in that picture & won’t get many likes so better not post it’ is our own way of redefining society’s ‘don’t put on that lipstick it looks inappropriate’. The whole point being rebellious was to fight the stereotypes for some of us wasn’t it? So there are these so called ‘openminded hypocrites’ & then there are the one’s ‘who has aced the skill of not-giving-fuck’. Not everybody needs to have family conflicts or scarred childhoods to be a misanthropist these days like they show in tv series. No matter how much I rant about this, the fact is I am a part of it.
